Yeah great job to you all - that was an amazing turning for a Sunday night show. There was nowhere to move when No Slogan was playing and I didn't stick around for drunkdriver (don't know them and I was beat) but I'm sure it was just as crowded or worse.

Just a great show all around...

VERY fun show. I had an awesome time. Every band was good, but Drunkdriver were punishing. So aggressive and confrontational. I also loved the melding of worlds going on last night - younger hardcore, older hardcore, weird art students, hipsters, punk kids, etc. It was a good way to spend a Sunday night.

last night was great. i went in kinda tired and debating leaving shortly after i got there. im really happy i stayed for a ton of reasons. here are a few

+ first thing i seen for the night was jeff johns wayyyyy drunk. WHATS UP BRIDGEPORT!
+ byob
+ beer provided there after i ran out
+ free pizza (thanks mike)
+ crucial kyle on the surveillance monitor
+ all the bands, was still tired and debating leaving when running came on so i didnt give them too much of a listen but everyone else was great.
+ megan! hope you got the cactus out of your hand
+ ralph, sorry for beating on you during drnkdrvr. its only cuz i love you
+ DRUNKDRIVER!!! i fucking love this band live. the record is cool but they are so good live. i cant believe they are only a trio. i have seen them before but it blows my mind every time.
+ mike from drunkdriver after the show. random drunken slurrings as i was leaving. some great shit was said.
+ 'burgs LP and tshirts.
+ light up ice cubes

- punk time
- weirdo punks that couldnt/wouldn't pay
- i thought the catburglars LP was supposed to come with a cd or code or something. thats what i thought the sign said. i would like to have digitals of those songs

I can't believe so many people came out, big thanks to mike for dealing with venue situation, and taking money most of the night.

-drunkdriver was awesome both times they played, I wish they had played more songs off born pregnant but you can't win em all.
-Catburglars was awesome and hilarious as usual... Conway is a awesome frontman
-Watching Crucial Kyle on the security camera dancing to Catburglars was hilarious.
-No Slogan was awesome... it was good to see a lot of people going off for them... I have some great pictures I will post when I scan the film.
-Loudest Raw Nerve set to date, I hope we bummed all of you out, it was loud and boring.

Thanks for coming out and keeping the a high ratio of tolerable people to awful people.

I've never seen so many people try to haggle at the door before. For the little bit that I was taking money, only one dude tried to get weird about it with me, so whatever...but I was laughing so hard at the little angry faces some party punks got drawn on their hands!
Turn-out was awesome, and it rules that the bands got so much. That space is really sweet too. I hadn't been there before. I think I could have done without the various types of smoke that I was choking in, but it's nothing that eye drops and a really long shower didn't fix! Up tha punx.

+ seeing Drunkdriver twice in one day
+ awesome conversations with awesome people
+ a bloody Raw Nerve set
+ standing in windows
+ general sneakiness all day leading up to Ryan's surprise birthday party after the show (choice method of hypothetical edge-break: mojitos...so homo)

- none of the crazy mall goth people with the fuzzy platform boots who were hanging around by Subterranean after the Reckless show (did anybody else see them??!) finding their way into the later show (I had my fingers crossed so hard!)
- now I have laundry to do again! haha
- Gregg, my hand is still a puffy mess!!

Also, an FYI to all of you guys who are going deaf at shows...I usually have a number of spare ear plugs in my bag. Feel free to ask me for some. Tinnitus and hearing loss are shitty things, just sayin'!

Mike Conway, Jeff Drunks, Nick Lovro, and a few others made this night tolerable for me...I would have had no problem punching every shitty fuckhead who walked in the door and gave Mike shit about not paying had I realized it was a trend

I got 3.5 hours of sleep before going to work this morning

I will heckle you into the fetal position if I like your band

I'm gonna get it out in the open right now:

I have 400 watts of sound amplification

If you are a jerk off (Raw Nerve, although there are many more that are guilty of this, they were just most recent) and feel the need to be the loudest band of the night, you are not going to be able to hear the singer.....especially Ralph, he does not know how to keep the mic near his face

I don't care if no one hears your singer, I don't care if anyone hears you at all, I hate running sound, and chances are I hate your band

So stop telling me to "turn up the vocals" unless you are going to give me $400 for another power amp

Benny is my new favorite dude, and No Slogan made a believer out of me last night

Drunkdriver is HARD....the drummer may as well have been playing with hammers

I really think you should run a personal mic, farn...

Catburglars were fantastic and very tight. Noslo Gang were great but who was that ripped powerlifter standing behind them with a camera, kinda creeped me out. I really like that space, I didn't hear much from outside and its in a lesser traversed area.
